All we have heard since the NFL lockout is how detrimental this is for fans, players, owners, and the game. But the reality is there is ONE player who openly likes the lockout and sees it as a way to have more “me” time.
Wes Welker told reporters while at a football camp in Oklahoma City…
“I don’t have to talk to anybody; I don’t have to see anybody. You see some of the same faces all the time. It’s kind of nice not to have to look at them anymore and see them. I’m kind of enjoying it,” Welker said. “I like being able to train on my own and be able to do some of my things. It’s good to be with the team, but it’s kind of nice.”
“Let’s do a lockout every year.”
I mean it must be nice not to see Tom Brady’s hair, Danny Woodhead’s distorted smile, or Belichick’s “Just kill me now” look.
