Panthers Owner Getting All Nazi On Cam Newton

A NEW Tattoo-gate. Jerry Richardson says No Tattoo For You!
While appearing on PBS’ Charlie Rose Show…(yeah I have NO IDEA wtf show that is) Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson revealed some pretty interesting and some what controversial news regarding his request for his first round pick, Cam Newton. Richardson said that during a pre-draft meeting with Newton he apparently went all Nazi on Newton, explaining his aryan race-like rules for their draftees. Check out what he said. [ProFootballTalk]
Richardson, who said that Newton “was dressed perfectly” for their meeting, was blunt. “I said, ‘Do you have any tattoos?’” Richardson told Rose. “He said, ‘No, sir. I don’t have any.’ I said, ‘Do you have any piercings?’ He said, ‘No, sir. I don’t have any.’ I said, ‘We want to keep it that way.’ . . . .
“We want to keep no tattoos, no piercings, and I think you’ve got a very nice haircut.”
Interjected the host: “You sound like a Lombardi.”
Said Richardson, “No, I just sound reasonable to me.”

Steve Smith's tat
Damn…I never knew the Carolina Panthers and their RICH TRADITION, got all New York Yankees on these kids. As you know the Yankees require their soldiers players to shave no facial hair and they also cannot have long hair (remember Johnny Damon selling out and current Yankee Nick Swisher too).
I have one question though Jerry, why the hell did you go out and trade for Jeremy Shockey and why the hell do you maintain that WR Steve Smith is your franchise player, while they have more tattoos then Kat Von D? (please don’t ask me who she is or what she does, I just remember seeing a poster with her all tatted up).
It’s actually really funny how Jeremy Shockey, Panthers newly acquired tight end describes his huge tattoo on his right bicep:”It speaks for itself. I’m proud to live in this country, to have the right to express anything you want…I’m very American.” Meanwhile Richardson is attempting to do the EXACT opposite of that statement.
Hey if Newton is down to not get tatted or pierced up, more power to him, but it’s safe to say Jerry Richardson has gotten all soup (or tattoo) nazi on all of us. This is sports, not a fortune 500 company, I think you’re in the wrong business there, Richardson.
