Old People Of Nassau County NY Suck

A few hours ago, voters in Nassau County NY voted NO on a referendum that would have created a new arena for the New York Islanders, a new minor league baseball stadium, convention center and a modern commerce center. Let me rephrase, about an hour ago a bunch of geezers fucked my kid. In what turned out to be a 57% majority vote, polls are reporting a majority of the “no” votes were cast by senior citizens. All because Town Supervisor and Democrat Kate Murray wanted the election held now so not to spend money. WTF?
Now I am all for an oxymoron; jumbo-shrimp, military intelligence, Glenn Beck (wait, he’s just a fucking moron) but this is almost too ridiculous even by our modern standards of retardation. The elderly voting for the future of the county where I live with my 5 year-old son. HO LEE SHIT. THIS AIN’T BOCA. PS. Go visit Boca, it’s FUCKED.
The owner of the NHL’s New York Islanders (who also owns Computer Associates) Charles Wang, presented a plan that would generate the county 1.2 BILLION on a $386 million loan. When Nana heard her taxes could get raised in 2014 by .001% she shit the bed. Ok, so she would have shit the bed anyway – she still was up in arms. Regardless of what future benefits it has for the county, you know – jobs, events, pro-sports teams – there was NO WAY grandpa was going to PAY MORE TAXES. For Christ sake, these are the same people who don’t tip servers and bring their own popcorn to the movies.
Here is the problem:
MOST OF THOSE ASSHOLES WHO VOTED “NO” WILL BE DEAD BEFORE THE FIRST TAX INCREASE WOULD HAVE TAKEN EFFECT.
A group calling itself “Association for a better Long Island” made sure to provide transportation for those senior citizens that did not have enough battery life in their wheelchairs. They were concerned for the “future” of Long Island! REALLY.
Where were these assholes when the Jets left Hofstra? At what point will they figure out that Charles Wang (and he should) could pick up and move one of Long Islands largest employers? Is it not bad enough they get tax breaks if they don’t have school age kids? Now they are going to chase the lone remaining pro team on Long Island to Quebec? Those seal clubbing fuckers are partying like they won the Stanley Cup. Is it not bad enough you have to drive 2 hours to go to a football game? Or an hour to Yankee Stadium? (Mets fans, really? You don’t fucking count so shut the fuck up.)
We get it, you survived the depression. You beat the Nazi’s and the Japs. You put a man on the moon, yada yada. That’s all cool & the gang, but you just fucked an entire county out of a chance for a great modern entertainment complex. The irony is that at the time of the vote, there is a real chance the US Government will default on the National Debt and fucking anarchy will reign. Social Security checks would dry up and granny would STILL be on the street holding a sign “will vote no for food”.
I have some suggestions for those Islander fans who will have to deal with these prunes for the next few years until they die.
-When they slip and fall, don’t help them up. Just lean over and whisper “1940″.
-Change the vision test at the DMV to Y O U – F U C K E D – U S and then fail them.
-NASSAU COUNTY should eliminate the “early bird special”
-Rig Bingo so no one wins, EVER
-Bankrupt Life Alert.
-All volunteer Fire Departments take your sweet ass time when get a call “Senior in distress”. (You Volleys know what I mean…) PATHETIC
The tragedy here is a development project for Uniondale was desperately needed. A solid plan was in place to generate the income to pay whatever funds came from taxpayers. A group campaigned about the “Long Term Affects” when in reality, they were as short sided and myopic as a group could be. Not one “No” voter asked would respond when asked about the children of the county. Not one “No” voter would comment if he or she had ever been to an Islanders game. Only ONE “No” voter admitted she may have peed in her depends.
“AAAAHFACKA YUUUUUHHHHH!!!!!“I seriously hope that is all I hear at Charles“Hang out with my Wang out” Wang‘s response to this bullshit referendum. He should take the team and his company out NOW.
THIS IS EXACTLY THE REASON FAMILY’S LIKE MINE ARE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING MOVING OUT OF NASSAU COUNTY. THE POLITICS ARE CORRUPT AND RUN BY MONKEES. STUPID MONKEYS AT THAT.
One thing is for certain, I am going to make sure that my kids kindergarten class votes on his Nana & Poppa’s medicare plan. Yeaaahhhh Buddyyy Payback’s a bitch. Greatest Generation MY ASS. More like SELFISH GENERATION.
