NFL Prospect QB Ryan Mallett Flopped From ’10 Draft Cause of Drugs?
There are multiple reports out saying Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett did not declare for the 2010 NFL draft due to “heavy rumors” that he was addicted to drugs.
Where am I ?
Mallet actually never denied using but made an excuse saying reporters were out to get him, “Obviously somebody did it for a reason, right before the combine, right before the draft,” that’s the last I’m going to talk about it, though. I’ve talked to the teams. It’s all good.”
That sure doesn’t sound reassuring, I mean if I was Mallet I’d just say they were fake stories, take a drug test and move on from it (Jokes on them drugs don’t stay in your system for a year anyway, I DOUBT he’s still doing them….right?) and then get drafted this year by a desperate team, make a ton of loot and actually become Ryan Leaf. I mean tons of people are already comparing the two. Yikes.
At 6-foot-6 and 240 pounds, Mallett may has the strongest arm of any quarterback in the draft and said he can throw the football “80-plus” yards. Although there are some concerns that Mallett was actually stoned when he claimed that.
