Masters, Wrap It Up
Like most Floppy Golfers and authentic Italian Pizzerias I decided to take Monday off because only flops and Italians (I am both) need another day off after the day of rest. Anyway, The Masters has ended and all 300 white, male members now have their course back. The only thing more shocking then a African American or a Female member at Augusta National was the young kid Rory Mcilroys epic coLAPSE on Sunday.
For those of you who don’t know Rory shot a Floppy 80, 43 on the back 9, to finish 4 shots under par for the tournament (8 shots over par for the day). Now you may ask yourself how a professional is capable of such a meltdown? Well lets stop and realize that the kid led the tournament for 63 holes, and there is no back 9 in golf more pressure packed then the back 9 at Augusta. But this kid is supposed to be the next Jack, the next Tiger. The next Jack or Tiger just doesnt do this. Tiger was 21 when he won his first major, the 1997 Masters, Jack Nicklaus was 22, the 1962 US. Open. With Tiger entering the back 9 of his carreer we are all looking for the next unfloppy (Phil) face of golf. Rory’s gonna have to do better then that.

Yea, we couldn't watch either Rory.

Yup thats him, Tiger Woods in 1978 on the Michael Douglas Show. Even at age 2 he wouldn't have 4 putted the 12th hole. Come on Rory!
Other big stories from Sunday included Tigers resurgence and the 26 year old South African Charl Schwartzel, your 2011 Masters Champion. For some reason however, turn on any sports channel and much like this article he is being mentioned after the Rory collapse and the impressive front 9 of Tiger Woods. This proves and defends my twitter beef over the weekend that in golf everybody loves the favorite. When Charl birdied the final four holes on Sunday (never been done before) not many people cared. In fact many people changed the channel once Tiger entered the clubhouse and Adam Scott took a 1 shot lead after birding 14. As for my Phil Mickelson repeat prediction, lets just say i was a little off on this one. Phil finished tied for 27th with a score of 1 under par for the tournament. But hey who in the world could have predicted CHARRRRRRRRRL Schwartzel.
Congrats CHARRRRL

"Thanks Phil! ....Don't look at the flop, don't look at the flop." -Charl Schwartzel
