Jim Riggleman Quits…Parties With Young Chicks!
In a bit of a surprise move Washington Nationals manager Jim Riggleman, resigned yesterday after winning 11-out-of-12 game. I guess he figured that was good enough to earn a nice contract extension….and I also guess you can figure out that Nats GM Mike Rizzo wasn’t having it.
Riggleman basically laid down the law in a few awesome (but probably stupid- long term) quotes towards Rizzo. It’s safe to say that after you quit unexpectedly, mid season; other GM’s won’t be running to their phone attempting to hire your ass.
Take a look at these two awesome quotes by Riggleman.
“I’m 58,” Riggleman told reporters in Washington. “I’m too old to be disrespected.”
He told Rizzo that “if I didn’t have an extension by the time the team bus left for the airport, I wouldn’t be on it.”
Yeah….he kept his word….he wasn’t on that bus. Now, after his resignation, basically leaving the Nationals in a shit-hole, Riggleman was spotted at a bar in Bethesda, Maryland getting shitfaced..knockin’ a few back with some hot young ladies. That’s how you celebrate unemployment baby!
