J.R. Smith……..From Asia To The LIN DYNASTY?
S/O to Getty Images on the pic, and our man THAT KID ERA for the guest post.
You heard the word? J.R. Smith is on his way back to the NBA! But the question is…. where will he go? In the past week Denver Nuggets lost their forward Danilo Gallinari for a month with a sprained ankle and former Nugget Kenyon Martin signed a deal in lob city (LA Clippers). Now in a few weeks Earl (a.k.a J.R.) Smith & Wilson “roll that shit, light that shit, smoke that shit” Chandler will be getting shipped back to the U.S like two immigrants in the black market on canal street. Last time I saw this many Nuggets move around this quick I was sitting in a drive-thru with Nick & Frank (duh #fattys).
Anyway onto basketball. Last Wednesday J.R. dropped 60 points over in China. (while going 14-18 from 3pt land) Granted I could cross up half of the players in the Chinese league but still, that’s somewhat impressive. But J.R. has always been a solid all around player in the NBA and can definitely knock down the open 3 if you allow him.
So as a New York Knicks fan, I would love to see J.R. Smith come to MSG. Now he’s not going to be the answer like every Knick fans claims the next guy they always sign will be, but I just have more faith in him knocking down an open 3 at the end of the game than Landry Fields or Scott Novak. Landry, you’re my boy and all but my dude was beadin’ up like Tim Tebow in a whore house against Boston the other night when he AIRBALLED a 3 that my cousin could’ve made. And the best part about J.R. is he apparently plays pretty damn well with Asians and against them, so maybe he could help out the Knicks by JOINING THE LIN DYNASTY. Whatttttttttttt!!!!
