Eagles RB LeSean McCoy Rips Giants Defensive Lineman

Ask your boys D-Nab and Vick how overrated Osi is

New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora is bitching again everyone. This time he says he is el finito in the Big Apple. Apparently Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is just as sick of his whining as we all are.

Apparently Osi plans to file a sworn affidavit next month in federal court against the Giants. Here’s the background story of what Osi is saying…

“In early April 2008, approximately two weeks before the start of the New York Giants offseason conditioning program, I, Osi Umenyiora, had a meeting with the general manager of the New York Giants, Mr. Jerry Reese,” Umenyiora testified this past April.

“After about an hour of discussing my current contract, as well as the contracts of other defensive ends currently playing in the National Football League, Mr. Reese told me that two years from the start of the 2008 league year, if I was currently playing at a high level, we’d either renegotiate my current contract so that it would be equal to that of the top five defensive ends playing or I would be traded to a team that would do that.”

“Before leaving the meeting, I asked Mr. Reese twice if he was absolutely sure that would be the case. He then told me that he was an honest and church-going man and that he would not lie, which I believed to be the case. Under the penalty of perjury these statements are true and accurate. [ESPN]

Sounds like a nasty divorce is coming, but that’s besides the point. McCoy, felt the obligation to share his opinion with us all; after ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter tweeted the Osi situation. Here is what McCoy had to say on his own twitter account.

Those is fightin' words

Oh boy….that’s beef if I’ve even seen it. I actually disagree there Mr.McCoy, I think Osi is a freak. His 2010 stats say hello big guy– 16 games started, 11.5 sacks and 10 forced fumbles. Doesn’t look like he’s overrated to me.

McCoy’s lucky, it seems as if Osi’s time is up in New York so he won’t be able to punch him in the mouth twice next season. I’m sure we’ll hear more about this once the lockout’s over.
