Derrick Rose wins 2010-2011 MVP
According to sources at ESPN Chicago, Derrick Rose has won the 2010-2011 MVP award, becoming the 55th winner of the award. Rose also becomes the youngest winner (22) to ever win the award.
Rose was the favorite all season after leading the Chicago Bulls to a league best 62-20 record after going 41-41 last year.
Rose averaged 25 points, 7.7 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1 steal.
Rose joins Bob Cousy (’57) and Steve Nash (’05 & ’06) as the only point guards to ever win the MVP award.
Congrats to D-Rose, but I wouldn’t be celebrating too hard Derrick , you don’t want to pull a Steve Nash and never make it to an NBA Finals. I’d concentrate on one thing this next week: get that bum Carlos Boozer into the flow because he is so floppy.
