Adding Insult To….The Mets

Yes another New York Mets article whoop-de-doo. Relax, this one is even funnier then the fact that the Mets owe over 20 million dollars this year to 4 dopes that aren’t even in the major leagues anymore.

On Opening Night Josh Johnson took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, and catcher John Buck hit a grand slam in his Florida debut as the Marlins beat the New York Mets 6-2 on Friday night.

Willie Harris had a lead-off double in the seventh for New York’s first hit off Johnson for the first Mets hit. That same inning Carlos Beltran lined an RBI double and Ike Davis added a run on a ground out off Johnson.

Who cares about all that, all you need to know is the Mets started the season off in typical Met fashion, with a Loss.

The best part of the game came at the end when the Mets announcers (Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez, and Ron Darling) were wrapping the game up for SNY TV. (Mets television station)

In what seemed like a goof by the producers or other SNY employees covering the game, a clip from the TV show Family Guy (making a joke towards the Mets) was heard playing at the end of the announcers wrap-up.

If you’re not familiar with the clip check it out here:

Hilarious and to be honest, I cant disagree with Stewie there. Now check out a clip from the game last night and listen closely at about :10 seconds in.

That is fantastic, I hope whoever is responsible doesn’t lose their jobs because it was the most entertaining part of the night for us sorry Met fans.

This isn’t the first time Family Guy took a shot at the Mets, check it out.
